How can I add or remove a member from my existing policy?

You will be required to fill the Change Request Form for the member to be added or deleted. Submit the form to our nearest branch along with the revised premium.

Please note that a mid-policy term addition will be available only for a new born and a newly-wed spouse. All other additions can be done only at the time of renewal. Also, member deletion in a policy is allowed only in case of death or legal separation.

How can I increase/decrease my Sum Insured?

You will be required to fill the Change Request form and submit it to our nearest branch along with the revised premium.

Please note that Sum Insured can be enhanced or reduced only at the time of renewal. No Sum Insured enhancement is allowed in case you have made a claim in your previous policy. Also, pre-policy checkup (PPC) will not be required if the requested SI enhancement is one grid up and PPC will be required if SI enhancement is more than one grid up.

How can I change my product?

Fill a new Proposal Form or Change Request form and submit it to our nearest branch along with the revised premium. Please note that a product can be changed only at the time of renewal.

What are the changes that can be done during the midterm of my policy?

The following changes can be done during midterm of policy, subject to submission of all the required documents:

  • Change/Correction in Contact Number
  • Change/Correction in Address
  • Correction in ID Proof
  • Correction in Gender
  • Correction in Relation
  • Change in Occupation
  • Change/Correction in Nominee Name
  • Correction in 80 D certificate
  • Correction/Change in Date of Birth (May require modification in premium applicable on the policy)
  • Addition of new born baby (Will require modification in premium applicable on the policy)
  • Addition of newly married Spouse (Will require modification in premium applicable on the policy)

Can the insured add Critical Illness Rider in the policy at the time of renewal, if applicable, will pre-policy checkup (PPC) be mandatory in this case?

Yes, insured can add Critical Illness Rider in the policy at the time of renewal subject to no claim in the last policy year.

PPC is mandatory for all CI Rider addition cases, irrespective of age of insured.
